Skip what you already know frequency band
Every word is checked against a real-world frequency list for
the book's language. Hide the top 1000 most
common words (you already know them) and cap the rank ceiling
so words too rare to bother with drop out too — leaving the
vocabulary sweet spot for your level.
One entry per real word lemma counting
Inflected forms collapse into one entry — Spanish
habló, hablas, and
hablando all become hablar — so the
list reflects real vocabulary items, not every conjugated or
declined form counted separately.
